From Retail to E-Commerce

I didn't set out to build an agency. I was running a retail operation right as Amazon was taking off, and I could see where things were headed.

So I started putting my products online — one listing at a time, day by day. No big launch, no venture funding. Just grinding it out.

That first year, we crossed $1 million in online sales. By year two, we hit $2 million. Year three, we were on track for $4 million.

People noticed. Other business owners started asking how I did it — and then asking if I could do it for them.

So I did. I started building out ecommerce for other companies. First it was just getting products listed and selling. Then clients needed advertising. Then websites. Then social media.

From there, clients kept asking for more. They needed product data organized, so we started managing inventory through Google Sheets and custom spreadsheets. They needed real websites, not just marketplace listings, so we added web development. Social media management, advertising, content — every time a client had a gap, we figured out how to fill it.

Then AI hit. When ChatGPT came out, I didn't wait around. I started building tools right away — AI-powered solutions that could actually help our clients work faster and sell more. That became another part of what we offer.

As the client base grew, so did the team. I brought on specialists across advertising, web development, social media, data operations, and AI. Each department was built out of necessity — when the demand was there, we hired for it. It's still my company at its core, but today it runs as a full team with dedicated people behind every service we offer.

So yeah, we started by putting products on Amazon. Now we build websites, run ad campaigns, manage social media, organize backend operations, and develop AI tools. That's how a retail operation turned into a full-service ecommerce agency — not by planning it out on a whiteboard, but by solving one problem at a time.
